Barrier-free and non-discriminatory Pacific societies in which people with disability can thrive
Australia Pacific Islands Disability Support (APIDS) provide support for disabled people’s organisations (DPOs) across Pacific Island countries by providing small grants with which internal capacity is built and strengthened.
In partnership with the Pacific Disability Forum, APIDS represents the interests of persons with disabilities in the Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna as well as East Timor.
This project will contribute to DPO capacity to represent their members and advocate for disability inclusion in all aspects of life.
