Web Training

WRA is pleased to provide a web-based study program which presents the elementary issues of international relief & development in order to further equip people for work in this area.

From Edwina Chin, a recent student...Over the past four months, I've undertaken the World Relief Australia webtraining course to provide me with practical experience in project management in international development. I've wanted to work in the international aid and development sector for a number of years, but found that many jobs required specific project management skills and experience.

I found the WRA course to be practical and comprehensive. The course has provided me with skills across the full range of the project management cycle, including design, implimentation and evaluation, as well as covering important cross-cutting issues such as climate change. I particularly liked how the course used real-life examples and drew on actual project management materials from multilateral organisations. The feedback from WRA was always prompt and constructive. I'm now working with the Australian Government as a Program Officer in the Pacific Division, and have found the skills that I developed throughout the course to be extremely useful.

Available in three stages, the course is completed in the student's own time. Each stage should, ideally, be completed over an 8-10 week period then submitted for assessment by WRA staff. A certificate of completion will be issued on satisfactory completion of all course assignments for each course stage.
