1606 QCCT Child Wellbeing Zimbabwe

Cairo has three of the thirty largest mega-slums in the world. Most of the children and young people in these slums are daily engaged in scavenging through garbage in order to survive. Formal education is not available to the majority. In the absence of education, youth living in the slums need a ‘hand-up’. Vocational Training Centres set up by Stephen’s Children provide special trade skills’ training, promoting financial and personal independence and enhanced employment opportunities.
