Latest Webtraining Graduate

A huge congratulations goes to our latest Webtraining graduate, Daniel Salamu from Burkina Faso! Beginning the course last year, he flew through all three stages of the course to pass with flying colours. Daniel was given something to smile about earlier this month when his hard-earned certificate of completion arrived.

The WRA Webtraining program has been designed for students with a passion for community development to learn the essence of international aid theory and practice through a multi-module online course. The three stages are:

  • Stage One: Introduction to Overseas Aid
  • Stage Two: Project Design
  • Stage Three: Strategic Issues in Community Development
Assignment topics have been selected to cover contemporary issues of sustainability, participation and empowerment. From a local to global scale, the course encourages conceptual and pragmatic thinking in topics such as needs’ assessment, risk managment, capacity building, environmental impact, disaster management, food security, education, micro-credit schemes, human trafficking and more.

Now equipped with the fundamentals of development, Daniel wishes to further pursue a calling in the field. Still considering where to best engage his knowledge and understanding, Daniel said, “I have received my certificate together with the transcript, I am very happy to have it with me here. So excited about the grades as well, and my prayer is that the Lord will use it to bring glory to Himself.”

Well done, Daniel! Your sustained efforts throughout the duration of the course are most commendable and we are confident you will apply your new skills in wonderful ways!
